GSAC announced D2 Basketball Players of the Week

VINELAND - The GSAC Basketball Committee is excited to announce the D2 Basketball Players of the Week.

Womens - Qui-Mia Wilkins - Mercer

Qui-Mia Wilkins had a triple double in Mercer's 94-54 win at Salem with 29 points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals. Wilkins followed this up with a double double in a 94-23 win at SUNY Orange with 18 points and 15 steals. On the week, Wilkins averaged 23.5 points per game, 12.5 steals per game and 9 rebounds per game to help the #15 ranked Mustangs move to 14-3 on the season. Wilkins continues to lead Division II in steals and had 25 in 2 games this week.

Mens - Joell Idrovo - Mercer

Joell Idrovo had 31 points in Mercer's 85-80 win at Morris, their 8th straight win. In that win Idrovo made 5 three point field goals and shot 76% from the field. In Mercer's loss at SUNY Orange Idrovo had 18 points, was a perfect 7 for 7 from the free throw, had no turnovers and 4 steals and 3 assists. For the week, Idrovo averaged 24.5 points and helped the Mustangs reach .500 in Region play for the first time this season.
